Dallas Fair Park

These are some of the murals that at the Dallas Fair Park. I'm told that they were painted for the 1936 World's Fair. These along with the art deco style buildings and statues makes it a very interesting and historic place to visit. I've only walked around this part of the Fair Park twice but both times I was the only one around. It was sort of like a my private outdoor museum.

  1. Hello dear James!
These paintings brought to my mind something about Greece, I don't know why!
    Great post!

  2. With no one else visiting, I sure hope the Fair Park isn't allowed to deteriorate! It'll be a shame to lose these very interesting murals. They seem to be fading already.

  3. I've often said that People don't realize what kind of history surrounds them in their own back yard. I guess you have to love history! Thanks for the pics.
